Satoshi Komiya is a general manager of product development department for INFINITI. Komiya has more than 30 years of Nissan R&D experience including 10 years of overseas assignments in the US and the UK. He joined the INFINITI global team in April 2022.
In his leadership roles at Nissan, Komiya served as member of the dedicated EV development team for the first NISSAN LEAF and as Chief Vehicle Engineer for the first e-Power NISSAN NOTE. In addition, he spent three years as Chief Quality Engineer for the compact segment in Total Customer Satisfaction.
For INFINITI, Komiya has been integral in key brand moments such as the Canton plant launch, which was the first overseas INFINITI production site; collaboration with Daimler; and the QX30 development in the UK.
Komiya is a food enthusiast and loves to travel the globe, often found tracking down the local cuisine of the regions he visits. He recently completed his goal of visiting all 47 prefectures in Japan and all 50 states in the US.
