SHANGHAI — Confidence always requires commitment.
Today, INFINITI announces local production in China of its athletic and sleek, next-generation QX60 crossover for consumers in that country. Local production of the three-row luxury crossover is a significant investment by INFINITI into one of its cornerstone markets and, along with assembly in China, the all-new QX60 will be tailored to cater to local tastes.
"Our commitment to China has never been greater and bringing the next-generation INFINITI QX60 to market here shows our resolve to deliver to consumers and retailers our most exciting vehicles," said INFINITI Chairman Peyman Kargar. "Local production of the all-new QX60 makes sense for consumers and INFINITI and allows us to cater to the specific tastes of that market with our newest vehicle."
Although the next-generation vehicle will be unveiled later this year, the stunning QX60 Monograph on display at the 2021 Auto Shanghai INFINITI stand hints at the flowing yet powerful new design direction the brand will take with the production version of the QX60.
In addition to the locally produced QX60 luxury crossover that will arrive next year, the all-new INFINITI QX55 bound for China also will be on display at the INFINITI exhibition area. To celebrate the daring QX55's arrival in China next year, an immersive experience that digitally places show-goers next to a specially configured QX55 in a scene they select will be available for visitors to the INFINITI stand.
For INFINITI fans across the world who are unable to attend Auto Shanghai in person, a digitally rendered stand is available to bring the auto-show experience to any room, anywhere.
China-specific all-new INFINITI QX60 coming next year
Bringing the wholly redesigned and all-new QX60 to consumers in China underscores the importance of that market to INFINITI and its partners.
The next-generation INFINITI QX60 coming later this year will bring a sophisticated new design and spacious, more luxurious interior. The locally assembled luxury crossover will be produced exclusively to satisfy the discerning tastes of consumers in China and reflect regional preferences with an upmarket approach and elegant touches.
"Bringing two new crossovers to our retailers and customers next year in China evolves INFINITI into an exciting new chapter," said Managing Director INFINITI China Kevin Mao. "The bold QX55 and stunning QX60 are two crossovers that deliver unmistakable style and remarkable space. I'm proud to bring both to our passionate buyers here."
"This year's Auto Shanghai 2021 show is the perfect place to announce our new crossovers coming next year," said Executive Vice President of Dongfeng INFINITI Motor Co. Gao Zhenghao. "On the show floor, the spectacular QX60 Monograph points the way to a locally produced, next-generation QX60 coming next year, and the daring QX55 steals any show wherever it goes. For those who can't visit in-person, our immersive experiences offer the show's excitement — anywhere in the world."
More details about the all-new INFINITI QX60 will be made available closer to market launch next year.
