The 2017 INFINITI QX80 once again offers an unmatched combination of power, strength and premium style. It's capable of transporting up to eight adults and their belongings with spacious elegance.
For 2017, Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) with pedestrian detection is added to the Driver's Assistance Package. Also new are expanded Mocha Almond exterior color availability and the addition of a low contrast Wheat interior color. Trailer Sway Control (TSC) is also added for all models.
Returning for a second year is the limited production QX80 Signature Edition. Its updated list of unique features includes a leather-appointed, high-contrast Saddle Tan interior, chrome outside rearview mirror caps, clear High Mounted Stop Light and unique, gunmetal-colored 22-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels with 275/50R22 all-season performance tires.
The QX80 Signature Edition also includes a suite of INFINITI's popular driver- assistance technologies, including Backup Collision Intervention (BCI), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range), Distance Control Assist (DCA), Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection, Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW), Blind Spot Intervention (BSI), Lane Departure Warning (LPW) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP).
The QX80 Signature Edition is offered in four select colors – Hermosa Blue, Graphite Shadow, Black Obsidian and Majestic White.
Again for 2017, the QX80's exterior design features a powerful front-end appearance highlighted by large upper and lower grilles, front fascia with LED high- and low-beam headlights, LED turn signals, LED fog lights and a body-colored bumper with flush-mounted sonar sensors. Chrome-plated outside rear mirror caps are standard on QX80 AWD Limited and available with the QX80 Deluxe Technology Package. At the rear of the QX80, a large bumper protector helps reduce potential damage when loading or unloading recreational gear or bulky cargo. A power rear liftgate is standard on all models.
The QX80 AWD Limited features dark chrome 22-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, dark chrome interior trim, stainless steel running board caps with rubber grips, welcome lighting under the running boards, a darkened headlight inner lens, a darkened taillight inner lens, dark chrome A-pillar covers and three unique exterior colors – Imperial Black, Mocha Almond and Dakar Bronze.
The QX80's interior features two interior color atmospheres – Wheat or Graphite leather-appointed seating, along with two interior finisher colors. The QX80 AWD Limited's unique interior includes rich semi-aniline Truffle Brown leather appointments with a unique quilted pattern, open pore matte-finish ash wood trim, Ultrasuede® headliner and pillars, leather-covered grab handles and speaker grilles, unique floor and trunk mats and unique silver switchgear on the center stack.
As expected from INFINITI, the 2017 QX80 offers a range of advanced safety and driving technologies, including an advanced High Beam Assist system, Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW), Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed Range), Backup Collision Intervention (BCI) and the new Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection.
As in previous years, all 2017 INFINITI QX80s include a high-stiffness frame structure that enhances ride comfort while reducing noise, vibration and harshness. The proven 5.6-liter V8 engine combines the responsive acceleration of INFINITI's VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) technology with the efficiency of Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) to produce 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. A smooth 7-speed automatic transmission is standard on all models.
The QX80 is available in three well-equipped models: INFINITI QX80, INFINITI QX80 AWD and INFINITI QX80 AWD Limited.
