Junpei Soyama is general manager of Global Brand strategy and Customer Experience at INFINITI, responsible for steering the global brand strategy and customer experience strategy across all channels in its new era and beyond. Based at the global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, Soyama began his new role in January 2022.
Soyama joined Nissan Motor Co, Ltd. in 2004 and during his 16 years with the company, has held roles in brand, marketing, supply chain management, and HR. In his most recent assignment as general manager of Nissan global brand strategy, Soyama led the development of Nissan brand’s vision and roadmap, deployment of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, and global roll-out of the new logo. A passionate advocate for work-life balance, in 2020, Soyama took one year’s leave to focus on his family and help manage childcare for his three children.
Soyama graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Keio University, Tokyo. He lived in New York City as a child and speaks fluent English and Japanese. Soyama has a passion for cooking which started early, receiving his first personally branded chef’s knife as a middle schooler.
