YOKOHAMA, Japan — The already appealing INFINITI QX50 becomes even more enticing for 2023 with the additional peace of mind of INFINITI Premium Care, more standard convenience features and a new grade with sporty design cues.

Enhancements to the 2023 QX50 start with the addition of INFINITI Premium Care. The integrated maintenance program include up to three years of inspections, oil changes and tire rotations, expanding on the luxury automaker's tradition of providing top-rated customer satisfaction. It is available for all 2023 INFINITI models, lease or retail, sold in the United States.

Next up is the eye-catching, newly available QX50 SPORT grade. It receives a visual boost thanks to a unique front fascia, 20-inch dark-painted and machine-finished wheels and gloss black exterior trim pieces. The QX50 SPORT also adds semi-aniline, leather-appointed seating and a Bose® Premium Audio System with 12 speakers.

The 2023 QX50 adds several new standard convenience features across all grades. Newly standard features include heated outside mirrors, remote engine start, a frameless auto- dimming rearview mirror, Rear Door Alert and a wireless phone charging pad. A new 19-inch alloy wheel design is featured on QX50 PURE and LUXE, while QX50 LUXE now includes a motion-activated liftgate as standard and a newly available Bose® Premium Audio System with 12 speakers. Finally, the 2023 QX50 adds a Radiant White exterior color option (select grades), plus Pebble Gray and Monaco Red interior colors (select grades).

The 2023 INFINITI QX50 is available in five grades. PURE, LUXE, SPORT and SENSORY feature standard front-wheel drive and available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, while QX50 AUTOGRAPH has standard AWD. The 2023 QX50 is on sale now with a starting MSRP1 of $40,300. (See full pricing details for all 2023 QX50 grades.)

Advanced powertrain
At the heart of the INFINITI QX50 is the world’s first mass-produced variable-compression turbocharged (VC-Turbo) engine. The 2.0-liter engine can seamlessly change its compression ratio to optimize for improved fuel efficiency or greater power output, depending on the driver’s demands. It is rated for an impressive 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an XTRONIC transmission that benefits from Downshift Rev Matching and standard paddle shifters, helping deliver a more engaging driving experience. On the QX50 AUTOGRAPH, additional powertrain enhancements give the QX50 the ability to tow up to 3,000 pounds, when properly equipped.

As a result of the powertrain’s innovative design, the QX50 also delivers impressive fuel economy figures: 23 mpg city and 29 mpg highway with front-wheel drive or 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.

Curated design, inside and out
The QX50 draws on several key INFINITI styling cues to create its sculpted look and muscular proportions. Elements like the brand’s double-arch front grille and crescent-shaped rear roof pillar, along with prominent crease lines along the bodysides and a sleek roofline, give the QX50 a distinct appearance. Both 19- and 20-inch wheel options are available, with eight exterior color choices comprising Hermosa Blue, Mineral Black, Graphite Shadow, Slate Gray, Black Obsidian, Dynamic Sunstone Red, Lunar White and the newly added Radiant White.

Inside, the QX50 is equally inviting thanks to highly curated interior materials that surround the occupants. The second row of seats slides, allowing for optimizing between legroom or luggage room, and folds flat to create up to 65.1 cubic feet (64.4 with panoramic moonroof) of cargo space. A standard power liftgate, with available motion-activated function, eases access to cargo.

Technology in abundance
The final piece of the QX50’s appealing offering is a plentiful list of technology intended to streamline and simplify almost every trip. For starters, every QX50 boasts a high level of standard safety technology, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist. All 2023 QX50 models are equipped as standard with ProPILOT Assist.

The standard INFINITI InTouch infotainment system has an 8-inch upper and 7-inch lower screen, with Android Auto™ and wireless Apple CarPlay®. The QX50 offers a total of four USB ports throughout the cabin, plus a newly standard wireless device charging pad. Two available Bose® audio systems – Bose® Premium Audio System with 12 speakers and Bose® Performance Series Audio System with 16 speakers – create a more immersive audio experience for all passengers.

The 2023 INFINITI QX50 is on sale now. For full details on the features included on each grade level, see the full specification sheet.
