YOKOHAMA, Japan – The all-new 2025 INFINITI QX80 has earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the U.S. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for 2025, reaffirming INFINITI's commitment to safety, advanced technology and superior craftsmanship.
The 2025 QX80, INFINITI's flagship SUV, was recognized as a TOP SAFETY PICK+ for its excellence in safety, leading in exceptional structural integrity, crashworthiness, advanced driver assist technologies and enhanced standard safety features. This recognition underscores QX80's robust design and commitment to protecting drivers and passengers alike. As standard, QX80 includes an extensive list of technologies intended to help the driver avoid collisions, including Predictive Forward Collision Warning1, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection2, Blind Spot Warning3, Rear Cross Traffic Alert4, Blind Spot Intervention®5 and Lane Departure Prevention6.
To achieve the 2025 TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the small overlap front, updated side and updated moderate overlap front tests. It also must earn an acceptable or good rating for pedestrian front crash prevention and come with standard acceptable- or good-rated headlights.
Research shows that safety is a top priority for car buyers, particularly for families and luxury SUV shoppers. According to J.D. Power, advanced safety features are among the top factors influencing new vehicle purchases7, while McKinsey & Company reports that luxury consumers expect cutting-edge driver-assistance technologies as standard8. Recognition from IIHS, such as the TOP SAFETY PICK and TOP SAFETY PICK+, helps buyers make confident, informed decisions about their vehicle choices.
