YOKOHAMA, Japan
– The next step for INFINITI in China begins as the credits roll on the QX60’s global reveal film.

Hours after making its global debut, INFINITI today confirmed details of the China-specific version of its all new QX60 coming later this year. The next generation of the QX60 created for its valued customers in China will be locally assembled there and powered by INFINITI’s innovative 2.0-liter Variable-Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine.

“INFINITI is embarking on a new era for our brand, bringing exciting, new products to market,” said INFINITI Chairman Peyman Kargar. “Being a human-centered brand, we redesigned the QX60 with the ability to tailor it to regional tastes, especially to those in China. I’m proud that the QX60 coming soon will be uniquely built and thoughtfully equipped to serve our customers in China.”

The QX60 is a cornerstone for INFINITI with more than 400,000 units sold worldwide since its introduction.

“The all-new INFINITI QX60 is tailored to meet our discerning customers in China with a sleek, modern design and tailored, spacious, interior,” said Kevin Mao, president of Dongfeng INFINITI Motor Co. and managing director INFINITI China. “Anyone who is busy with work or life will appreciate the intuitive technology and responsive, confident drive that it will offer.”

“The all-new INFINITI QX60 presents executive-level comfort with a sleek, modern exterior,” said Gao Zhenghao, executive vice president of Dongfeng INFINITI Motor Co. “Today’s peek at the new QX60 for the rest of the world has us excited for what’s coming to China soon.”

The INFINITI QX60 interior delivers an open, inviting atmosphere, with INFINITI’s design team paying special attention to seamlessly integrate technology features within a cabin generously appointed with tailored, soft-touch materials. It is loaded with capable features designed to make everyday tasks easier and more efficient, including a high-definition 12.3-inch touchscreen and the latest iteration of ProPILOT Assist.

Exclusively for INFINITI buyers in China, the all-new QX60 will be powered by the brand’s innovative 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine paired to an all-new 9-speed automatic transmission. Available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and Active Noise Cancellation combine to help the INFINITI QX60 deliver comfort, refinement and confidence to its driver and passengers.

“The QX60 is the second new car to launch from INFINITI this year as we transform our business,” Kargar said. “The all-new QX55 announced at Auto Shanghai 2021 arrives next year with its standout exterior. Add in the refined and confident all-new QX60, and the new horizon for INFINITI looks bright in China.”

Underscoring the importance of the QX60’s impact and its significance to owners worldwide, INFINITI will produce the crossover in two facilities, each catering to specific needs for those markets. At Smyrna, Tennessee, the QX60 will be assembled for North America as well as for buyers in regions such as Russia and the Middle East. In China, the QX60 will be assembled at Xiangyang exclusively to meet domestic demand.

The all-new QX60 is the latest INFINITI model in the broader Nissan Motor Corporation’s Nissan NEXT Transformation plan. More information about the all-new QX60 including pricing, packaging and availability will be provided closer to the market launch in China.
