Fergus Kong is chief financial officer for INFINITI Motor Company. Based at INFINITI’s global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, Kong started his new role in June 2020. Kong previously served as INFINITI’s finance director since joining the company in 2015.
Prior to joining INFINITI, Kong held a number of senior financial positions within the communications and technology industries. From 2011, Kong worked at British Telecom as finance director for the Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region, before becoming head of finance for BT Advice. Prior to this, Kong spent 11 years working for MCI WorldCom and Verizon Business. Having started out as a finance analyst, he moved into the role of finance manager before becoming the company’s head of FP&A. Kong started his career as a finance analyst at Intel Semiconductors.
Kong graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also holds financial qualifications from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), CPA Australia and the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. Kong was born and raised in Hong Kong and is married with two children.
