A shared history

The base of operations for the all-new INFINITI QX80 First Drive was the Alila Jabal Akhdar; a five-star luxury boutique resort perched more than 6,500 feet above sea level. This year, the famed location marked its 10th anniversary – consequently coinciding with the launch of the previous generation of the QX80, which was celebrated at the Alila Jabal Akhdar that same year. The flagship returned to mark its new generation in the 35th anniversary year of the INFINITI brand – coming full circle.

Innovation at Birkat Al Mouz & Banana Café

The journey began at Birkat Al Mouz, a historic oasis surrounded by lush date palms and the ancient Aflaj irrigation system—an enduring symbol of innovation and sustainability. Guests navigated the village's narrow pathways and immersed themselves in its traditional beauty, before arriving at Banana Café, nestled amidst a tranquil forest of date palms.

This setting beautifully mirrored the QX80's spirit of innovation and strength. With its bold, confident stance and sleek anti-wedge silhouette, the QX80 commanded attention while exuding refined elegance.

It presented the perfect opportunity to highlight the innovation features of INFINITI's reimagined flagship, including the Biometric Cooling feature – which makes use of a sensor to read passenger body temperature and adjust airflow to facilitate comfort. Individual audio, a segment-first technology, utilizing speakers in the headrest of the front row to isolate audio for navigation or phone calls – to name a few.

Artistry and Craftsmanship at Oman Across the Ages Museum & Nizwa Fort

At the Oman Across the Ages Museum, the QX80's craftsmanship came to life. The museum's architecture, built using sustainable Omani stone, offered a fitting backdrop to the QX80's interior, which reflects the Japanese miyabi principle—rooted in Kyoto's artisan culture. Premium materials, layered textures, and seamless technology integration embody the balance of beauty and functionality.

The journey continued to Nizwa Fort, where guests experienced Oman's rich history and traditional souq. Like the fort's enduring legacy, the QX80 showcased masterful craftsmanship, with every stitch and curve designed to create an atmosphere of refined luxury.

The final chapter brought guests to Diana's Point, a breathtaking viewpoint perched on the edge of Oman's vast canyons. This iconic location, where Princess Diana once stood in 1986 to take in the panoramic views, offered a setting of unparalleled beauty and exclusivity.

As the landscape stretched endlessly into the horizon, the moment reflected the QX80's philosophy: a space where innovation, artistry, and tranquility converge, transforming every journey into an extraordinary experience.

A Story of Innovation and Luxury

The INFINITI QX80 Ride & Drive Experience celebrated the SUV's evolution while immersing guests in Oman's cultural and natural beauty. Each destination brought a new chapter in the QX80's story, underscoring its promise to deliver exceptional luxury and a driving experience unlike any other.
